Solving Printing Problems by Disabling Pop-up Blockers

Disabling Pop-up Blockers allows you to print documents in any PKL Software program without complications caused by the Pop-up Blockers.  Disabling Pop-up Blocking software installed on your computer may be necessary to allow successful printing in PKL Software programs.  The following explains how to disable some of the most popular Pop-up Blocking programs including:

Microsoft Internet Explorer
Yahoo Toolbar
Google Toolbar
Firefox Internet Browser
AIM Toolbar
Apple Safari Internet Browser
Opera Internet Browser
Third-Party Pop-up Blocker Programs

Microsoft Internet Explorer

This will not disable your Pop-up Blocker for any other web sites that you wish to view.  To disable Internet Explorer’s Pop-up Blocker, perform the following directions.

Resolution:

1. Open Microsoft Internet Explorer.
2. In the "Tools" drop down menu, click on "Internet Option".
3. Click the "Privacy" tab and click on the "Settings" button under the Pop-up Blocker section at the bottom of the window.
4. Enter "http://www.pklsoftware.com" in the space below "Address of Web site to allow" and then click the "Add" button.
5. Click on the "Close" button to close the Pop-up Blocker Settings window and click on the "OK" button to close the Internet Options window.

OR

• Hold down the CTRL "Control" button on your keyboard when clicking on the "Print" button in the web page.  Do not let go of the CTRL button until you see the print menu.  This must be done every time you print.

Yahoo Toolbar

The most current version of Yahoo Toolbar does not have a Pop-up Blocker.

To disable older versions of Yahoo Toolbar's Pop-up Blocker, perform the following directions.

Resolution:

1. Open an internet browser window.
2. Click the Pop-up Blocker menu.
3. Click to uncheck the "Enable Pop-up Blocker".

Google Toolbar

To disable Google Toolbar's Pop-up Blocker, perform the following directions.

Resolution:

1. Open an internet browser window.
2. Click on the "Toolbar Options" icon on the right side of the window which looks like a blue wrench.
3. Click on the "Options..." menu
4. Click on the "Tools" tab.
5. Click to uncheck the "Pop-up Blocker" option.

Firefox Internet Browser

This will not disable your Pop-up Blocker for any other web sites that you wish to view.  To disable Firefox's Pop-up Blocker, perform the following directions.

Resolution:

1. Open Firefox internet browser.
2. For a Windows PC, click the "Tools" title menu and click on the "Options" menu.
3. For a Mac, click the "Firefox" title menu and click on the "Preferences" menu.
4. Click on the "Content" tab icon.
5. Click on the "Exceptions..." button to the right of the "Block pop-up windows" check box.
6. Below "Address of web site", enter "www.pklsoftware.com" into the text box space and click the "Allow" button.

AIM Toolbar

To disable AIM Toolbar's Pop-up Blocker, perform the following directions.

Resolution:

1. Open an internet browser window.
2. Click on the "Toolbar Options" icon on the right side of the window which looks like a blue gear.
3. A drop down window will appear. Click to uncheck the "Block Popup Windows" option.

Apple Safari Internet Browser

To disable Safari's Pop-up Blocker, perform the following directions.

Resolution:

1. Open Apple Safari internet browser.
2. Click the "Safari" title menu.
3. Click to uncheck the "Block Pop-up Windows" option.

Opera Internet Browser

To disable Opera's Pop-up Blocker, perform the following directions.

Resolution:

1. Open Opera internet browser.
2. Click the "Tools" title menu and click on "Preferences"
3. In the "General" tab, locate the Pop-ups section and click to select "Open all pop-ups" option.

Third-Party Pop-up Blocker Programs

• Disabling third-party Pop-up Blocking software installed on your computer may be necessary to allow successful printing in PKL Software programs.  Consult the Pop-up Blocking software manufacturer on how to temporarily disable the Pop-up Blocker without uninstalling the software.
